Kang Eui enjoyed daydreaming and wasting time as a little child. After studying economics in college and business in graduate school, he was so shocked by the weight of life and the stinginess of society that he lost his imagination and published his first work of science fiction in his fifties. His major works include short story collections entitled The Cherry-Colored Reddish Black Glow and The Silver Dwarf and Why Can’t We Even Catch A Glipmse of Them. He exposes the snobbish and hypocritical side of science. Using a uniquely simple and cool-headed style, he vividly and grotesquely depicts how humans suffer identity crisis in the gloomy future dystopia. His short stories center on the fatal threats that emerge in a peaceful world. His unusual topics and plot development capture the minds of readers and make them think about existential problems in their everyday lives. Where do we come from, why and by whom were we created, and where are we going?

Fiction:
Why Can’t We Even Catch A Glipmse of Them. (왜 힐긋이나마 그들을 볼 수 없을까, 2024)
The Cherry-Colored Reddish Black Glow and The Silver Dwarf (체리 빛 검붉은 노을과 은색 난쟁이, 2022)
Essay:
I Walk The Road and Covet Life (길을 걸으며 삶을 탐하다, 2023)
The Golden Lighthouse (황금등대, 2018)
Others:
The Book of Investment (투자의 서, 2020)
The Mankind Report (인류 보고서, 2018)
