Jim Riwon majored in aesthetics and English literature at Seoul National University, and received her doctoral degree at Pittsburgh University, specializing in animal ethics and literature. She now teaches ecological ethics and literature in Seoul. In 2023, her work entitled “How to Walk the Olympic Park” (올림픽공원 산책지침) received the Excellency Prize in the Third Moon, Yoon Sung SF Literary Award in the short stories and novellas category.
Her main topics are climate change, environmental pollution and Seoul. She strives to write stories that will brighten up the readers’ minds in the dark times we face.
