Jun Young Lee (이준영)

Jun Young spent his childhood engrossed in the worlds of Star Wars, The Matrix and Back to the Future, implanting science fiction in the foundation of his consciousness. He majored in pharmacology in college and pharmacokinetics in graduate school, and is now working as a researcher in a pharmaceutical company in Songdo, Incheon. 

He debuted in 2017 when his short story "My Love, Don’t Cross That Universe" (님아 그 우주를 건너지 마오) won the Kyobo Book Center Story Awards in the short stories category. In 2020 he published an SF novel entitled Parameter O (파라미터 O) which was also selected for the Excellent Audio Book Contents Production Support Program hosted by the Korea Creative Content Agency. Park, Sang Jun, the president of Seoul SF Archive, praised Parameter O in his review as "an engaging, thoroughly moving work, a gift by Korean science fiction celebrating the centennial of Capek's R. U. R."

Jun Young is continuing his writing career slowly and steadily. He wants to write deep stories that give something to think about, but are fun and interesting at the same time. He is mainly interested in science fiction and fantasy.
