The  Complete and thorough bio-bibliography of the SFWUK member writers

Hajin Lee (이하진)

Hajin is a college student, majoring in physics. She has a double-major in chemistry and a minor in musicology.

She first published a short story entitled The Grave of Probability(확률의 무덤) in February of 2020 under the pen name Hajin. She kept writing until her short story Someone’s Continuity(어떤 사람의 연속성) won the Grand Prize in the First POSTECH SF Award in the short stories category in 2021 to make her debut. The Awards Committee concluded that her work “shows great talent in poetically presenting insight into human nature through SF-related topics” and ”leads to a deeply meaningful ending” to prove its “highly artistic quality.”

Hajin’s works combine detailed descriptions of character’s emotions and a sharp critique on society in a well-woven, intricately structured story. Her pen name means “proceeding through the gap.” Hajin hopes to be able to continue capturing the gap between everyday life and science and technology and write about it.
