Taewoon Lim (임태운)

Taewoon Lim was unfortunately born in the age where the romance of adventure had already disappeared, but fortunately he loved the world of adventure in fiction. As he started to write his own stories, He realized that the "world of adventure" that he loved, such as spaceships, aliens and secret, ancient civilizations, was actually the world of SF. He worked as a specialist reporter for mixed martial arts, a scenario writer for TV animations and is currently living as a full-time writer.

Taewoon debuted in 2007 in the online magazine Crossroads with the short story "Absolute Body" (앱솔루트 바디). It is a bildungsroman of a villain with a mutant body. From there he participated in 12 anthologies and wrote full-length novels such as "Eternal Mile" (이터널 마일) and "Trouble for the Magician" (마법사가 곤란하다). His monster combat story "Gear Monster" (기어몬스터) won the Grand Prize in the first Dexter Studio SF Scenario Contest. His sports-zombie story "Taerung Zombie Complex" (태릉좀비촌) won the Second Prize in Naver Web Fiction Contest.

Taewoon is developing his own unique world within the SF genre by adding humorous portraits of "the small man" to the familiar elements such as cosmic horror and zombies. Two of his novels and three short stories are currently under development for filmization. He aspires to maximize the charm of SF as visual entertainment in his stories.
