Silverforest (은림)

Silverforest was never comfortable with other human beings and spent her childhood staying long hours near books and animals and looking at trees swaying in the wind. She wanted to become a cartoonist but majored in industrial design and at last became an illustrator.

In 2008 she published a short story in the science web magazine Crossroads entitled "The Song of the Fantastic Evolution" (환상진화가), which is a story about a mixed breed between humans and plants that emerge in the future. In 2016 she published "The Cave Family" (동굴가족) in Crossroads again, which is a story about a world where human beings are treated as replaceable parts. In between she wrote stories about women and plants such as "Grandma Tree" (할머니 나무), "Mother-Flower" (엄마꽃) and "The Singing Forest" (노래하는 숲), and also published a novel about young women entitled The Chronicles of the Tree Continent (나무대륙기).

She has spent too much time with non-human beings that she finds the anthropocentric world unfamiliar, but she has the appearance of a human being so she pretends to be one, and since she never learned the language of non-human beings and only knows the language of humans she came to love the strange and unstable stories of those in between humans and non-humans and soon began writing them herself. Whether SF or fantasy, from AI to dragons and animals and plants, Silverforest always feels more comfortable with stories about non-human beings.
